About GR2U

This site was created in 2009 with the gamer who is tired of biased game reviews everywhere in mind. We here at GR2U, decided that we were tired of game review magazines and websites publishing misleading reviews about games and hyping them up, only to disappoint and aggravate gamers at the time of release. We came to the conclusion that it is impossible for someone to give unbiased reviews when one is being paid or pampered with promotional items from game publishers. A lot of games in the news recently were hyped up beyond belief by game reviewers and then subsequently failed to live up to the hype.

During the same time as the creation of GR2U, we wanted to get involved in creating Indie Games for release on the Xbox 360. In 2011 we launched our first independent game called Flip N’ Shift (a puzzle game) as an experiment to see how the independent market functioned and to get our feet wet in game production. We decided after the success of Flip N’ Shift to continue creating independent games, but for the iOS platforms as well as the Xbox 360 and PC. GR2U became an LLC in 2011 and is now not only our review site, but our independent game studio as well. We will continue to provide game reviews for games we happen to play, but we will also be creating indie games as well and hope you try and enjoy them as they are released. We will begin to do post mortems of our projects posted to this site in a separate category, so that other indie developers can read about the trials and tribulations associated with game production.

In 2012, our logo has changed to reflect that we have evovled and the same has changed on our YouTube page and subsequent videos for games released in 2012. Also, our reviews will be changing soon. We will begin to do video reviews of games and continue to record cinematics of game cinematics for most games. Our text reviews will become a synopsis of our video reviews and as a result, might be shorter. Thank you for visiting and enjoy your stay!
